Maine Guide Courses
Recreation Guide
This four day (28 hour) course takes place in person over 2 weekends. We focuse on navigation, lost person, ethics, and the additional information you need for both the written and oral guide test. This course can be taken online or in person. We keep a low student to instructor ratio for all in person classes. The course includes a Maine Guide Recreation training manual. Our person courses allow hands on training with the instructor, while our virtual course lets you go at your own pace. Both allow ample opportunities to answer any questions.

Specialized Sea Kayaking Guide
All paddlesports guides need the Specialized Sea Kayaking Guide License. This 4 day (28 hour) course covers the aspects both the written and oral exam and allows you to build on your knowledge to be able to safely guide in Maine's coastal waters. The course provides you with a Specialized Sea Kayaking Training Manual. The virtual option allows you to study at your own pace.
